20th Century Origin: Kashmir Material : Papier-mâché Design : Umar Kahayyām An octagonal Kashmiri papier-mâché plaque depicting a romantic garden scene inspired by the celebrated Persian poet and philosopher Omar Khayyam, framed by his famous Rubāʿiyāt (quatrains) in Persian calligraphy.
