Dub Reimagined

Inspired by the traditional Kashmiri dub, this façade reinterprets one of the most distinctive architectural elements that has long animated the streetscape of the Valley. Historically, the projecting timber dub served as an intermediate space between the interior and the street, admitting light, extending views and enriching the rhythm of the façade. This intervention reinterprets its proportions, depth and finely crafted timber expression as a contemporary façade composition. The result is the continuation of an architectural language that remains rooted in Kashmiri identity while responding to contemporary construction and living.
