Mountain Relics

Recovered from different histories yet united through design, these compositions bring together fragments of Kashmir's mountains and its architecture. Salvaged timber beams and weathered ceiling cornices from old houses become quiet frames for antlers and horns, allowing each material to retain its own story. Together, they create a dialogue between the handmade and the untamed. Collected from a time when hunting still formed part of life in Kashmir's mountains, long before the Hangul became endangered, these antlers and horns now survive as witnesses to a vanished tradition. Reframed within reclaimed architectural fragments, they are no longer trophies but quiet memorials to changing landscapes, disappearing ways of life, and the enduring memory of both nature and home.
